What actually happens when the internet drops mid-service?
The terminal keeps taking orders and storing them locally, and forwards them when the connection returns. Receipt printing runs over the local network, so it is unaffected.
Could an order be counted twice when it syncs?
No. Forwarded orders are duplicate-safe, so a retry results in one order rather than two.
